I’m a licensed psychotherapist and a private practice expert. I’ve built thriving practices from the ground up in San Francisco, CA and Charlotte, NC. In launching my first practice, I learned a lot of things the hard way. Eventually I wanted a place to write about all these lessons–so I started Since then, PPW has grown beyond a blog into a source for online courses, consulting help, a new podcast called “The Marketing Workshop,” and a thriving facebook community group.

I love what I do and I eat, sleep and breathe private practice. When I’m able to get myself to think about something else, I’m spending time with my therapy dog Lucia, my two cats Elliott and Hugo, or playing drums. I’m also an experienced martial artist and am currently practicing Muay Thai kickboxing. When I was a kid, I HATED getting haircuts because my mom always took me to JCPenny where they would royally screw it up. Now I go to cool hipster barbers and I love getting haircuts.

Startup Nation, John Clarke was a blast to have on our podcast and totally rocked the mic while discussing a topic he is most passionate about: How to Get More Done in Less Time. For more info about our podcasts, webinars, online courses, private practice coaching, or attorney approved private practice paperwork, visit
