startup nation, meet: dr Kate Campbell
Dr. Kate Campbell is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with an entrepreneurial spirit. She is Founder and CEO of Bayview Therapy - a counseling and psychology group practice with offices in Fort Lauderdale, Coral Springs, and Plantation, Florida. Since 2011, she has grown the team with 30+ therapists who are specialized in different areas and committed to making a difference in our south Florida community.
Dr. Kate’s love for business and marketing inspired her to co-found The Private Practice Startup with her business partner, Katie Lemieux. Together they inspire mental health professionals to build their dream private practice and live a life they love. They are most known in the practice building community for their signature Private Practice Marketing E-Course + Coaching program and their attorney approved private practice paperwork.
Dr. Kate has also been featured as a practice building expert on the Abundance Practice Building podcast, Practice of the Practice podcast, Selling the Couch podcast, Private Practice Workshop, The Therapist Experience podcast, Become a Group Guru, Your Badass Therapy Practice, Private Practice University, and many more.

Dr. Kate is a former President of Broward Association of Marriage and Family Therapy, Adjunct Faculty Member in the Family Therapy Department at Nova Southeastern University, and a Florida Qualified Supervisor. Both her Doctorate and Masters Degrees were awarded by the Family Therapy Department at Nova Southeastern University and her Bachelors from East Carolina University.
Most importantly, Dr. Kate is a proud mother of two sons with her husband, Brent who is also an entrepreneur. When she’s not working, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, working out at pilates, and enjoying the south Florida sunshine. She’s a self-proclaimed food and wine connoisseur who loves to travel and create new memories.
